Today the RWE energy group introduced its offer of electricity for households for the first time. For the most frequently used tariffs, RWE comes up with prices for the electric power that are cheaper by 10% compared with the traditional regional suppliers. The prices for people who heat their homes or water with electricity are also more favourable by 5%. RWE guarantees the price of consumed electricity by the end of 2011. The offer also comprises one-time bonuses amounting to CZK 500 depending on the selected product. We will take care of all the paperwork connected with the transition to RWE. more

During another three-year period, Martin Herrmann will remain at the helm of RWE Transgas, a.s., which manages the RWE Group's Czech operations. His position as the boss of the RWE Group in the Czech Republic and the RWE Transgas CEO was confirmed by the Board of Directors of the Essen-based RWE AG Group. All the legal and formal steps relating to his election as a Member and Chairman of the Board of Directors will follow in the upcoming weeks.    more

RWE Gas Storage, the biggest storage operator in the Czech Republic, organised the 3rd e-auction of storage capacity in its virtual storage facility in a row. New storage capacity of 45 mcm which arose by enlargement of the Tvrdonice UGS in the Southern Moravia was offered at auction this time. more

Natural gas flows without any troubles to all RWE’s customers even in the areas hit by heavy snowfall. The heavy snowfall in these days has no impact on natural gas supplies, and the entire RWE’s gas distribution system works reliably. more

Starting from 1 January next year, the RWE prices of natural gas for households will finally decrease 0.6% on average. The people will therefore even in the second half of winter benefit from the long-term gas price decrease continuing already one year already. more

Prague, 16 September 2009 – From 2010, RWE Gas Slovensko, a subsidiary of RWE Transgas, will start supplying natural gas to medium-sized companies with consumption in excess of 1 GWh (100,000 m3). The company is thus continuing its successful operation on the Slovak market, which it entered only last year. more
