RWE sells NET4GAS

RWE today signed an agreement for the sale of 100% of its shares in NET4GAS, s.r.o., the independent Gas Transmission Operator in the Czech Republic, to a consortium of Allianz and Borealis Infrastructure. Under the agreement, the consortium will acquire the shares for an enterprise value close to EUR 1.6 bn. This represents a normalised valuation multiple (Enterprise Value/EBITDA) of c. 9x. The closing of the transaction is expected to occur in the second half of 2013. more

The year 2012 was a successful period for RWE

The sales of the RWE group in the Czech Republic amounting to CZK 215 bn hit all-time high in the last year. The year-on-year sales increase of  CZK 41.1 bn was caused by a significant increase of  the natural gas sales abroad. The total group’s income after tax plummeted by CZK 15.4 bn  made a loss of nearly CZK 1.3 bn. The reason was the loss of CZK 16.7 bn created by RWE Transgas owing to its disadvantageous purchase contracts in trading of natural gas. more

RWE Supply & Trading CZ offers Czech storage capacity for the period 2013/2014

RWE Supply & Trading CZ (RWEST CZ) is offering about 1 TWh of physical storage capacity in the Czech Republic for a period of 12 months in 2013/2014. The capacity will be offered on the exchange platform store-x (www.store-x.net) in a “keyed procedure” ending 15 February 2013. more

RWE Group in the Czech Republic has a new production division – RWE Energo

The RWE Group has transferred heat and electricity production as well as the biogas and CNG business to RWE Energo, s.r.o., the group’s new division established as part of a merger of RWE Plynoprojekt and KA Contracting ČR. RWE Energo oversees operations at 28 facilities with 90 employees and runs ten CNG filling stations. The largest facility under the company's management is the Náchod Heat Plant with an installed capacity of 118 MWt and 17 MWel. Overall, RWE Energo is responsible for supplying 900,000 GJ of heat and 60,000 MWh of electricity to customers annually. more
