RWE bringing the gas price down for the fourth time in a row

Starting from 1 January next year, the RWE prices of natural gas for households will finally decrease 0.6% on average. The people will therefore even in the second half of winter benefit from the long-term gas price decrease continuing already one year already. more

RWE Gas Slovensko successfully penetrates the Slovak natural gas market

Prague, 16 September 2009 – From 2010, RWE Gas Slovensko, a subsidiary of RWE Transgas, will start supplying natural gas to medium-sized companies with consumption in excess of 1 GWh (100,000 m3). The company is thus continuing its successful operation on the Slovak market, which it entered only last year. more

RWE to Reduce Gas Price Again in First Winter Months

RWE Group CZ customers will save on natural gas costs starting in the first cold months of this year's heating season. As of 1 October, the final price of natural gas the RWE Group CZ supplies to households will be reduced by an average 2.5%. more

RWE customers can request the sending of invoices in electronic form

Prague, 6 July 2009 – Customers of the RWE Group who currently use the internet banking system of Česká spořitelna (Servis 24) can now request the sending of invoices for natural gas in electronic form. They can then pay the delivered “e-invoice” quickly and easily via a pre-completed payment order. more

The RWE CZ companies assume that correctness of the amount of advances may be assessed only on expiration of the relevant billing period. RWE supplies gas-fired power plant of CEZ

Prague, June 25, 2009 – In 2013, RWE will commence natural gas deliveries to a combined-cycle power plant with an installed capacity of 841 MW that is being built in North Bohemian Počerady by the Czech CEZ Group. Representatives of the two corporations signed a 15-year contract today. The consumption of the power plant will be comparable to the annual gas consumption of the city of Prague. For the needs of the power plant, RWE is able to provide the supply of natural gas over the entire contract term. more

RWE: Another step towards a greater opening of the gas market

Prague, 8 June 2009 – The RWE Group made further steps to the development of the natural gas storage capacity market in the Czech Republic. Following negotiations with the Office for the Protection of Competition and the Energy Regulatory Office, RWE on its own initiative proposed measures aiming at the gas market development, which will enable other gas traders to obtain as much as 5000 mcm of storage capacity in the underground storages in the Czech Republic by 2013. more

RWE to cut the price of natural gas again, this time by 6 percent on average

Prague, May 29, 2009 – Effective as of July 1, final prices of natural gas supplied by RWE Group to households will be cut by 6.1% on average. Households using natural gas for boiling water, heating and cooking will save 220 CZK on average compared to current prices. RWE has cut the prices of natural gas in the Czech Republic for the second time since the beginning of this year. more

Ostrava, March 9, 2009 – As of March 1, 2009, RWE Group Customer Hotline launched a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week service to attend to customers´ requests. Previously, customer hotline was only available on workdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. more

Number of RWE’s customers increased year-on-year by 13 172

Prague, 24 February 2009 – Last year, RWE CZ acquired 13,172 new customers in the Czech Republic. Most of them, almost 11,000 were household customers. Also, the number of small-scale customers increased by 3,000. The number of medium- and large-scale customers decreased year-on-year by 482. Total 2,305,114 customers were taking gas from RWE at the end of the year.
